Shri C. Subramaniam (CS),
a rare combination of political wisdom and social commitment, was a Minister of the Indian Government as well as a Minister of Madras State (as Tamil Nadu was then known) for over 20 years. He played a significant role in various fields of national importance - agriculture, finance, science & technology, education, planning, steel & heavy industry and national defence.
