Educational Program Rural Tourism Encouragement to Rural Talents

As a part of our efforts to educate the urban school children, to appreciate the importance of agriculture in India; problems of India as related to agriculture and the rural backwardness and to encourage these future citizens to help the rural community in a meaningful way, we are conducting educational trip for the students to the rural area.

Itinerary includes visit to NAF Centre for Rural Development to learn about present scenario of Indian Agriculture and to see the model farm with variety of crops; horticulture nursery; model dairy farm; and demo models of vermicompost unit, drip irrigation, Bio pest traps etc. They also visit NAF R&D Centre to learn about soil testing, food safety and personal hygiene etc. The students are taken around the villages to help them know more about the rural surroundings. The educational trip is coupled with rural games for the students to enjoy.
