NAF also advices its farmers on choice of alternate crops based on the suitability of the soil and the prevailing market conditions. Promotion of alternate crops helps farmers to switch from mono cropping, to mitigate risk of price fluctuation, provide additional income and helps raise crops with available water. Some of the alternate crops introduced by NAF in its project area include Corn, Flower, cool season crops, hi value vegetables etc.
